Jaguar uses ID46, ID48 and ID60 transponders on the FO21 blade for the older cars, and JLR proximity Smart Keys with PCF7953P or NCF29A on the recent range. The platform is shared with Land Rover, so the same equipment covers both.
Programming happens over OBD with brand-specific equipment. On many models we can add a key without the original, and where every key is gone we erase the old set and code a new one.

The X250 uses a Jaguar Smart Key with the ID46 chip. Additional key or a full replacement.

Still doable. It takes longer than a spare because the car has to be cleared first, and we need the V5 equivalent plus your ID.
It is the FO21 profile, yes. Jaguar was under Ford then and the blade is shared, though the electronics inside are not the same.
